The thoughts of a tumwebaze

In all things… March 1, 2011

Filed under: About Marriage — delz @ 3:07 pm

valentine’s day passed by like any other ordinary day  because we don’t fuss over it but everyday can be special. I was reminded of the importance of the vows i made on Jan 24th 09

Charles, I take you to be my husband,

and give to you all that I am and have.

Through the power and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I promise to love you with all of my being;

to honor, respect and esteem you above all others,

submitting to your loving leadership in all things as unto Christ.

I will comfort and care for you,

endeavoring always to encourage and edify you.

As we are blessed of God with children,

I will strive to bring them up in the love of God,

instructing them in His ways.

As Jesus Christ is the most important person in our lives

because He gives us life,

I will seek to help you attain the stature and fullness of Christ

as we serve him together,

from this day forward.

This is not an easy task

It’s just unfortunate that Ps Josh made us say the traditional ones but that’s not the point. Marriage is a great thing and I am blessed to have a loving husband.

For all those looking forward to entering this institution, take your time.. Find that one person that u love and loves u back. With love i mean, respects u, honors u, uplifts u, encourages u, etc etc… A friend of mine always says, it is better to miss marriage than miss-marry.
